Astaroid is a powerful and fast acting solvent based tar & glue remover. It will dissolve tar, bitumen and most solvent based glues and residues that our Equinox All Purpose Cleaner won’t.
Oil, tar and bitumen are made up of really long chain hydrocarbons. In chemistry like dissolves like; so to dissolve a hydrocarbon you need another hydrocarbon! Astaroid tar & glue remover is infused with citrus oils and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents to encapsulate, breakdown and dissolve tar and oils and remove them from your vehicle’s surfaces without the need for abrasives, or harsh plastic attacking solvents.
The specialist formula is safe on plastics unlike some products and the natural citrus oils which are super effective against glue leave behind a natural fresh citrus fragrance.
Perfect for use in/on: engine bays, around fuel filler caps, fuel pumps, sound deadening backing, carpet glue and Astaroid can even be used on carburetors.
How to use:
- Spray directly onto affected area and allow to soak for 2 minutes.
- Spray a small amount onto a clean microfibre cloth and wipe away any residue.
- Repeat if needed.
- Rinse with water.
Do NOT apply in direct sunlight or to freshly painted surfaces.
